Make a difference in environmental cleanup efforts as a Communications Officer in Port Hope. Promote effective stakeholder engagement and explicit communication throughout the PHAI.
CNL seeks a Communications Officer to play a vital role in executing community engagement activities related to the Port Hope Area Initiative. You will ensure that property owners and residents receive timely and relevant information about project developments. Your work will involve collaborating with technical teams and developing a range of communication products tailored for public audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inform stakeholders about CNL's environmental initiatives
• Respond to inquiries regarding remediation and project updates
• Develop effective communication materials for various channels
• Liaise with project teams to accumulate and share information
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and stakeholder concerns
Requirements:
• University degree/diploma in Communications or a similar field
• At least five years of public communications experience
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to navigate challenging discussions with stakeholders
• Valid Ontario driver’s license
