Role Description
This contract role is for a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker based on-site in London, ON. The practitioner will provide individual counselling to clients experiencing a range of mental health and relational concerns, including anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with other professionals as needed. The role may also involve facilitating group therapy sessions, offering support to teenagers and LGBTQ+ clients,
and participating in case consultations and ongoing professional development. The successful candidate will uphold ethical practice standards and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all clients.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Demonstrated skills in Counseling and Relationship Counseling, including work with individuals, couples, and families.
Understanding of Medicine as it relates to mental health, psychopharmacology basics, and collaboration with healthcare providers.
Current registration and good standing as a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO or as a Registered Social Worker with the appropriate regulatory body.
Experience supporting teenagers, LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals facing complex life transitions is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Commitment to anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive practice.
Availability to work on-site in London, ON, with flexibility for afternoon, evening, or weekend appointments as needed.
