Insight Global is hiring a Workday Extend Developer on behalf of a leading higher education institution in British Columbia.
This prospect can be structured as a permanent or 12-month fixed-term engagement and is ideally suited for candidates located in Canada who can support a large enterprise Workday environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom applications using Workday Extend, building integrations and orchestration solutions, and supporting complex Workday initiatives across HR, Finance, Payroll, and Student systems.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role where the ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering production Workday Extend solutions and be able to contribute immediately within a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Skills and Requirements
• 5+ years of experience supporting, developing, or enhancing enterprise ERP applications
• 2+ years of hands-on Workday Extend development experience
• Proven experience building and deploying custom applications in Workday Extend within a production environment
• Experience developing Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP), and APIs
• Experience with Workday Orchestrate and workflow automation solutions
• Strong understanding of Workday architecture, business processes, security framework, and data model
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting complex Workday applications and integrations
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams, business analysts, and functional stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate independently in a highly collaborative environment • Workday Extend Certification

• Experience supporting Workday Student
• Experience within higher education, public sector, or other large enterprise environments
• Experience with Workday Prism Analytics
• Experience with Dev
Ops practices, source control, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, or Service
Now
• Experience with enterprise integration tools such as Mule
Soft, Talend, ETL, or ESB platforms
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring junior developers
• Experience building AI-enabled workflows, automation solutions, or orchestration capabilities within Workday
Previous involvement in large-scale ERP transformation or Workday implementation programs
