Full Time – Monday-Friday working 10am-6pm with 1 evening shift (12pm-8pm) every other week.

Duties

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Full Time Employment Consultant. Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, this role is a vital part of our Employment Services Team supporting job seekers and employers.

What You’ll Do

Develop employment opportunities for clients

Provide employment and training needs assessment and case management

Develop Service Plans

Provide instruction, individual support and advocacy

Facilitate workshops

Complete reporting requirements

Collaborate with local training providers

Work with local employers to provide placements

Monitor client’s employment retention for 365 days

What You’ll Bring

Have a College Diploma in a Human/Social Services or Business field, with a Career Practitioner/Job Development certificate an asset

Have a minimum 1-year experience in a related field

Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases

Access to reliable transportation, as some travel may be required

Ability to manage exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
