Join our team at Robert Service School in Dawson City, Yukon as a Woodwork Teacher for grades 8-12. Engage students with your technical knowledge and teaching skills in a supportive learning environment.

The Department of Education is seeking a part time, temporary Tech Ed/Woodwork Teacher. Ideal candidates will possess a passion for woodwork, a strong educational background, and a commitment to culturally relevant teaching. Experience in secondary education is an asset as you guide students through hands-on activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students in Tech Ed and Woodwork skills
• Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Modify curricula to fit diverse learning abilities
• Collaborate on school goals and initiatives




• Employ experiential learning methods to enhance understanding

Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education or Tech Ed credential preferred
• Journey person certification in woodwork or carpentry
• Familiarity with First Nations education and culture
• Previous teaching experience is highly regarded
• First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
