Become a Senior Embedded Engineer at Osprey Systems and drive innovation in counter-drone technologies for extreme conditions. Your proficiency in embedded Linux and C++ will be critical to our mission.
In this role, you'll manage the software platform for distributed devices, ensuring continuous operation in harsh environments. Responsibilities will include designing networking protocols, implementing time synchronization without satellite support, and developing fault-tolerant OTA updates. You'll contribute to a growing team underpinning Canada's defense infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and oversee the embedded Linux platform on distributed devices
• Design robust networking strategies for peer-to-peer communication
• Implement time synchronization independent of satellite systems
• Develop atomic OTA updates for remote deployments
• Address power and thermal challenges in software
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of embedded software engineering experience
• Advanced skills in C++ and scripting languages
• Robust networking knowledge for unreliable links
• Experience with shipping remote devices
• Focused on reliability testing and design practices
