As part of Seabird Island's education team, you will provide safe and engaging childcare experiences. Your role involves developing solid relationships with children and their families while implementing culturally relevant activities that support growth and learning. You’ll ensure compliance with regulations and foster community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement nurturing activities for young children
• Supervise and ensure child safety during learning experiences
• Track attendance and maintain health documentation
• Assist in planning community engagement events and field trips
• Attend staff training and development sessions regularly
Requirements:
• Current Early Childhood Education Certificate and license
• Proven experience with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Effective communication and coordination skills
• Understanding of socio-economic issues impacting Indigenous communities
