Lead environmental compliance and inspections for the Yukon with the Environmental Protection & Assessment Branch. Focus on legislation enforcement, team management, and effective response strategies.

We are seeking a full-time permanent Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee a dedicated team within our Compliance & Inspection section. You will ensure adherence to the Setting Act and Waters Act through inspections and public concern responses. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in environmental protection, mentoring skills, and regulatory experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage compliance inspections and enforce environmental regulations
• Guide and support your team in inspections and public interactions
• Address environmental complaints while promoting best practices




• Develop and implement compliance strategies and plans
• Oversee Yukon’s spill reporting and response program

Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in environmental science or related field
• Proven leadership in compliance and enforcement roles
• Experience managing financial resources effectively
• Knowledge of Yukon Environment Act and Waters Act
• Proficient in inspection strategies and sampling techniques
