Become a vital part of elder care at the Drumheller Health Centre as a Health Care Aide. This role focuses on providing personal assistance and support for residents with daily activities.
As a Health Care Aide at this rural Long Term Care unit, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate and client-centered care. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, enhancing residents' independence, and observing their health. By providing emotional support, acting as a supportive listener, and interacting positively, you will make a significant impact in the lives of elderly clients, especially those with dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients with personal care and daily living activities
• Assist nurses in providing routine health care
• Engage residents in organized activities and programs
• Observe and report on clients' health and wellbeing
• Maintain a protected environment for all clients
Requirements:
• Registration or practice permit with CLHA as an HCA
• Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months
• Valid skills in patient support and daily assistance
• Compassionate and patient approach to elderly care
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends
