Lead investigations into regulatory compliance with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). This hybrid role focuses on managing investigative teams and overseeing case management.
As Manager of Investigations at CIRO, you will guide a team dedicated to uncovering potential regulatory violations within Canadian capital markets. Your expertise in market operations, investigative procedures, and regulatory frameworks will be essential in training the staff and collaborating across various departments. Excitingly, you’ll engage in policy development and direct management of cases as part of CIRO's Enforcement team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage overall case management and investigation processes
• Train and mentor investigative staff for effective operations
• Contribute to policy and procedural improvements
• Support multidisciplinary teams through investigations
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies
Requirements:
• University degree in finance, law, or related field
• Minimum ten years of relevant investigative experience
• Thorough knowledge of securities industry regulations
• Skilled qualifications such as CA or CFA are an asset
• Completion of CIRO’s proficiency requirements
