The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board seeks a Part time Educational Assistant to support students with exceptional needs. This role spans 17.5 hours weekly with flexible scheduling.

As an Educational Assistant, you’ll work closely with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental challenges. You’ll engage in hands-on academic support and collaborate with faculty to modify programs for various learning needs. Your flexibility and dedication are essential in enhancing the educational experience of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support for students with exceptional needs
• Assist with toileting and mobility tasks
• Facilitate participation in swimming programs
• Modify educational strategies for individual needs
• Monitor and record behavioral data accurately

Requirements:
• Diploma in Developmental Services Worker or equivalent
• 1-2 years experience with school-aged special needs
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification appreciated
• Training in behavior management systems
• Ability to work collaboratively in a school team
