Join the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion as a Part-Time Community Support Worker in Richmond/Steveston. Focus on enriching lives by supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in community activities.
In this regular part time role, you will assist individuals in pursuing their personal interests and goals, fostering connections with family and friends. You’ll enable meaningful choices, promote safety, and enhance well-being while helping individuals gain independence within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individuals in small, group settings
• Facilitate connections with friends and family
• Provide opportunities for meaningful choices
• Encourage and recognize personal contributions
• Promote health, safety, and well-being
Requirements:
• Effective teamwork and independent work skills
• Experience with autism or medical needs preferred
• Knowledge of alternative communication systems an asset
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License required
• TB screen and vaccination status disclosure required
