Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly professional and exceptionally diligent Surveillance Operator to join our dedicated team. This critical role requires an individual with unwavering integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and a clear understanding of the responsibilities that come with maintaining a secure environment. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of exercising sound judgment, demonstrating consistent adherence to established protocols, and maintaining an elevated level of discretion.
As a surveillance professional, you will play a crucial role in proactively identifying and mitigating potential security breaches, suspicious or unauthorized activities, and any situations that could compromise the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. Among these responsibilities, you will conduct reviews and investigations into customer and staff claims, including theft, misconduct, aggressive behavior, and policy violations. You will be responsible for monitoring gaming and non-gaming areas, verifying incident details, and providing accurate, unbiased reports to support internal decision-making and protect the integrity of operations.

Training expectations:
Surveillance training is a comprehensive four-week, full-time program designed to prepare new team members for all operational aspects of the position. Training is completed on the schedule of a designated Surveillance Supervisor and includes structured instruction, practical application, observation, and ongoing performance assessment.

Candidates should note that while they are applying for a specific shift, the four-week training period may require them to work different hours in order to align with their designated trainer’s schedule and ensure full exposure to the position.

Key Responsibilities

Proactive Operational Monitoring: Vigilantly and meticulously monitor all gaming areas, Poker tables, cash handling zones, and EGD machine operations to proactively identify and analyze any procedural deviations, irregularities, or potential risks.
Exemplary Reporting and Documentation: Author clear, concise, and highly accurate incident reports in English. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are essential, as these documents serve as official records for internal review and reference.
Collaborative Asset Protection: Partner effectively with floor management teams and security to create a secure environment, acting as a key resource in the prevention or review of theft, cheating, aggression, or suspicious activities.
Thorough and Objective Investigations: Conduct impartial and meticulous video investigations to establish a clear, factual, and unbiased account of specific incidents. The resulting report serves as the primary source of truth, providing leadership with the objective evidence necessary to make informed and critical decisions.
Maintain Expert-Level Knowledge: Learn, cultivate, and maintain an expert-level understanding of all table games, payoffs, potential cheating methodologies, gaming strategies, and surveillance techniques to ensure effective and informed monitoring capabilities.
Clear Departmental and Communication: While using our radios and office phones, Surveillance delivers clear, precise, and timely observations, advisements, and updates to Security and Management on the floor. Communication between operators and leadership in the office is equally critical, requiring professionalism and accuracy to ensure supervisors can respond decisively to developing situations.

Requirements:

Demonstrated Experience and Performance: 2 years minimum experience in a professional surveillance capacity, working in a gaming setting, or management role.
Operational Knowledge: Experience in Poker, as well as an understanding of gaming operations, is an asset.

Professional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a distinct emphasis on clarity, precision, and objectivity in all correspondence.
