What We Offer
Hourly wage: $38.49 to $46.43/hour
Shift premiums: evening ($1.50/hour), night ($2.00/hour)
Comprehensive benefits (medical and dental) and pension plan
Travel pass after one year of service
Uniforms and equipment provided (boots, safety glasses, helmet, gloves)
Free parking, locker rooms, showers, and cafeteria
5 personal days and up to 10 sick days
Your Responsibilities
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on locomotives
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures
Use maintenance procedures, technical manuals, and tools to ensure safe and reliable operations
Ensure all work complies with maintenance programs and rail safety standards
Meet and exceed Transport Canada regulatory requirements
What We’re Looking For
A vocational diploma in heavy duty mechanics, diesel mechanics, automotive mechanics
Experience with diesel and/or internal combustion engines
Experience and/or certification in heavy rail equipment repairKnowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Journeyperson certification or Red Seal is an asset
Schedule
Permanent position (40 hours per week)
Variable schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Overtime available
Work location
Vancouver Maintenance Centre, Mission Maintenance Centre
