Job Description
RBC Wealth Management is a part of Royal Bank of Canada (“RBC”), one of the largest providers of financial services in the world. RBC Wealth Management Canada is comprised of six complementary lines of business which are supported by over 250 wealth professionals through our RBC Family Office Services team. Together, we provide our clients an unmatched experience.

Your application will be reviewed for consideration across multiple roles within the following areas:

RBC Royal Trust

RBC Private Banking

RBC Wealth Management Financial Services

What is the chance?
We are seeking winter co-ops across several Administrative Assistant roles to join the Wealth Management team (including but not limited to the following: Private Client Associate, Branch Support Assistant, Operations Assistant, Private Banking Associate, etc.). RBC Wealth Management provides students the opportunity to gain in-depth, hands‑on experience while working and learning alongside our experienced professionals. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for assisting Investment Counsellors or Investment Advisors and other members of the team provide exceptional client experiences.

What will you do?

Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.

Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.

Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding and maintenance of existing client accounts.

Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.





Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.

Stay current with all RBC Policies & Procedures

Provide support on assigned projects, conducting research, and sharing information with the team.

Answering basic inquiries and resolving routine problems regarding products and services via calls, email, or internet chat.

Ensure trades are processed accurately and on a timely basis

Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation and maintain client cash flows and balances

What do you need to succeed?
Must have

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

High level of time management and organization skills

Demonstrated skills in providing world‑class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)

Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures

Familiarity with Salesforce.

Interest in the Canadian investment landscape.

To be eligible for these student positions, you must either:

Be returning to school after the work term end‑date; or

If you are not returning to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully
