The Opportunity
The Maintenance Technician will contribute and participate in activities related to preventative, scheduled or unscheduled maintenance as well as environmental, health and safety, and other special initiatives.

This is an onsite position located in Victoria, BC

What You Will Do

Perform preventative and responsive maintenance

Complete general repairs and support the day-to-day operations of the property

Deliver exceptional resident service by responding promptly to maintenance requests, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with vendors, and assisting with suite turnovers

The role also includes seasonal grounds maintenance, emergency on-call support, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while contributing to a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming community

Other duties as required

Who You Are
Key Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma / GED

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Valid Driver’s License and Access to a reliable vehicle

Police Clearance: A criminal verification check is required for employment

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Bonus Qualification

Work experience in commercial / retail building operations is an asset but not a requirement.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, prioritize competing demands, and meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality results

Thrives in fast-paced environments, works well under pressure, and readily adapts to changing priorities, new ideas, and evolving business needs

The Expected Base Pay Range: $50,000 to $55,000 per hour. The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. BGO values the contribution of our employees and our compensation structure may vary based on the geographical location of successful candidates, as well as their experience, skills or qualifications. In addition to base pay, eligible BGO employees participate in various incentive compensation plans, based on individual and business performance as well as a broad range of competitive benefits.
