Take on the role of Counsellor within the Crisis Response Team at the Canadian Mental Health Association. Engage with individuals in crisis, providing essential support and guidance in a part time position.

As a Counsellor, you will work directly with clients experiencing urgent mental health and addiction crises. Your responsibilities include performing assessments, advocating for necessary services, and fostering self-advocacy skills. This role is integral in ensuring that clients gain access to vital resources for stabilization and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments for mental health and addiction
• Develop therapeutic client relationships
• Coordinate crisis intervention services
• Assist with navigating community supports
• Empower individuals through self-advocacy skills

Requirements:
• Degree/diploma related to mental health or addictions
• Minimum 3 years direct service experience
• Valid G class driver’s license required
• Must have a recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Proven attendance reliability in previous roles
