Join School District No. 91 as a Casual Learning Support Worker in Burns Lake, BC. Assist diverse learners by providing targeted educational support and advocating for their needs.
The School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is looking for Casual Learning Support Workers to support students in Burns Lake and surrounding areas. This role supports the development and delivery of educational programs tailored to individual needs, while also advocating within school teams. Candidates must hold a Grade 12 diploma, complete an Education Assistant Certificate program, and have experience working with children or youth with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized support to students in learning
• Assist in various educational program implementations
• Advocate for student needs in team settings
• Collaborate effectively with school staff
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
• Mandatory Education Assistant Certificate
• At least 6 months experience with youth
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in BC
• WHMIS 2015 training and relevant safety understanding
