Shelly’s Indigenous Bistro is an Indigenous-owned takeout, delivery and catering restaurant seeking an experienced, hands‑on General Manager to lead our daily operations and support the continued growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily restaurant, takeout, delivery and catering operations

Supervise, schedule, train and support employees

Manage attendance, timekeeping and payroll submissions

Coordinate Front of House and commercial-kitchen operations

Step into cooking or food production when operationally required

Maintain food quality, safety and customer-service standards

Manage food and labour costs, inventory, purchasing and waste

Support catering growth and continuous operational improvement

Provide regular operational reports to ownership

What We’re Looking For

Five or more years of restaurant, food‑service or hospitality experience

Two or more years of restaurant management or senior leadership experience

Hands‑on commercial‑kitchen and cooking experience

Experience with staffing, scheduling, training and performance management

Knowledge of payroll, food cost, labour cost, inventory and ordering





Solid food‑safety and workplace‑safety knowledge

Calm, organized and accountable leadershipAvailability for approximately 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, holidays and catering events

A valid Manitoba Food Handler Certificate is required or must be obtained upon hire. WHMIS and Serving It Safe may also be required. First Aid/CPR is an asset.

What We Offer

$22–$27 per hour, based on directly related experience
