Support adults with visual impairments as an Instructor in a rural setting. This on-site role requires a robust focus on client interaction and guidance.
We are looking for an Instructor with a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor certification. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of experience and must be willing to relocate to the position's physical location. Key skills include effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide hands-on guidance to adults with visual impairments
• Conduct training sessions and assessments in outdoor settings
• Handle equipment and assist with mobility tasks
• Maintain clear communication with clients and families
• Ensure safety and compliance through required checks
Requirements:
• 2-3 years relevant teaching experience
• GDMI certification mandatory
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation required
• Must pass a criminal record check and provide immunization records
• Ability to manage physically demanding workloads
