Become a Casual Bus Driver with School District No. 91 in Fort St. James, supporting student transportation needs. This flexible role requires consistent operation of school buses on scheduled routes.
This position entails helping with both curricular and extra-curricular trips while ensuring student safety and compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must possess a BC Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement, along with First Aid training and daily maintenance checks of the buses. You'll regularly interact with students, parents, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate school buses on scheduled routes
• Transport students for curricular and extra-curricular events
• Carry out daily preventative maintenance checks
• Ensure positive communication within the school community
• Maintain school bus safety standards
Requirements:
• Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate) completion
• Clean BC Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake
• First Aid and CPR certifications
• WHMIS 2015 training and driving experience
• Minimum 6 months of experience operating relevant vehicles
Support student activities and make a difference through protected and reliable transportation.
