The Inspector conducts vital inspections to enforce the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act (FBCSA) and its regulations. This role demands expertise in compliance monitoring and non-compliance resolution, aiming to safeguard public interest and promote best practices. You will assess operators, document findings, and provide guidance on regulatory obligations while engaging with a variety of stakeholders across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections of licensed operators and new applicants
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommendations
• Assist in assessing complaints and compliance matters




• Provide guidance on regulatory standards and best practices
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in regulatory compliance or related fields
• 5+ years in the bereavement sector or similar inspection experience
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid G driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Understanding of FBCSA or similar legislation
