Ready for an unforgettable nursing adventure?
Discover a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in Canada’s remote northern communities with Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing Program. Since 1997, we’ve been delivering exceptional community health care to Indigenous Peoples across the North. This is your chance to broaden your clinical expertise, embrace a unique scope of practice, and experience the adventure of a lifetime—all while doing what you love.
The work you will do:
Provide care primarily in clinic-based environments, taking on an expanded role to deliver both primary and emergency care for all residents—from newborns to elders—through nursing stations or health centers
Support health promotion initiatives, conduct assessments, and implement care plans using Best Practice Clinical Guidelines
Work as part of a cooperative care team alongside nurses in a clinic setting, managing urgent and non-urgent walk-ins (similar to a walk-in clinic), as well as primary care follow-ups (like prescription renewals, tests, and condition monitoring)
Act as the first point of emergency response in communities without an ER, providing both acute and primary care services
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills, prioritizing patient needs in high-pressure situations
Be prepared to work independent without on-site physicians, adapting quickly and confidently to resource-limited environments
