Join the Audiology Service at CHEO to support children’s hearing from ages 0 to 18. In this role, you’ll conduct evaluations, prescribe devices, and manage hearing disorders.
As a paediatric audiologist, you will evaluate hearing impairments and collaborate with a healthcare team to tailor care plans. Essential responsibilities include interpreting audiometric results, fitting hearing devices, and providing education for staff and families. This position requires flexibility in hours and robust communication skills to effectively engage with families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for children
• Interpret diagnostic data alongside audiometric results
• Develop and implement care plans with the healthcare team
• Prescribe and fit hearing devices and assistive technologies
• Document intervention outcomes as required by standards
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Audiology
• Registration with Ontario’s Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists
• Authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program
• Minimum two years of paediatric audiology experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
