Shift: Nights| 6:00pm-6:30am

Schedule: Full-Time | 3x12s Onsite

Status: Non-Exempt

Weekend Work: Every Other

Role Overview
As a Lab Support Staff Coordinator , you will lead operational workflows and support laboratory team performance while ensuring high-quality specimen collection, processing, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Coordinating daily operations and delegating technical and administrative functions

Developing staffing plans and monitoring time, attendance, and payroll processes

Serving as a preceptor and training resource for new hires

Providing leadership, education, and mentoring to lab support staff

Monitoring inventory and maintaining appropriate supply levels





Supporting regulatory compliance and participating in surveys

Overseeing specimen collection, receipt, and processing for inpatient and outpatient testing

Communicating with nursing, providers, and external laboratories regarding testing and specimen handling

Performing phlebotomy and supporting patient specimen collection as needed

Qualifications
Education
Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Experience
Required:

Clinical or related experience

Preferred:

Phlebotomy experience

Licensure / Certification
Required:

Phlebotomy certification within one (1) year of hire (ASCP, ASPT, or AMT) OR

Completion of BayCare Client Services training (3 approved CBTs and 1 approved class) within one (1) year of hire (only for roles not performing phlebotomy)
