Support individuals in housing transitions with the West Central Women’s Resource Centre in Winnipeg. This casual role focuses on advocacy, system navigation, and relationship-building with diverse populations.
The West Central Women’s Resource Centre is hiring multiple Casual Residential Housing Support Workers. This position empowers women and gender-diverse individuals experiencing challenges such as homelessness or mental illness. Your role includes connecting tenants with internal and external resources while coordinating community activities to foster engagement and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build relationships with residents to understand their needs
• Connect residents to housing and support services
• Liaise with case workers for continuity of care
• Coordinate skill-building workshops and meetings
• Maintain organized records of resident activities
Requirements:
• Robust interpersonal and crisis intervention skills
• Understanding of harm reduction and trauma-informed care
• Experience with marginalized communities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Help create supportive housing environments through advocacy and community engagement.
