Be a catalyst for change as the Youth Innovation Lead in Ottawa. This full-time position emphasizes strategic leadership, community engagement, and amplifying Indigenous youth voices.
The Youth Innovation Lead reports to the Connection Hub Manager and plays a crucial role in developing youth-led initiatives to enhance language revitalization. This position involves building strong relationships with Indigenous youth, communities, and partners. You will promote collaboration, innovative approaches, and ensure meaningful representation of youth perspectives in the Commission’s work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead youth-led innovation initiatives aligned with strategic priorities
• Foster relationships with Indigenous youth and communities
• Develop a youth-led advisory council to guide activities
• Create inclusive spaces for youth leadership and participation
• Assess the impact of youth-led initiatives
Requirements:
• Degree in Indigenous studies or a related field
• 3-5 years working with Indigenous youth
• Experience in community outreach and engagement
• Solid knowledge of Indigenous governance and languages
• Excellent communication and project management skills
