Become the Active Living Coordinator for the Town of Antigonish and lead initiatives that promote health and well-being among residents. This role is central to fostering community engagement through active living programs.

In collaboration with the Community Development team, you will oversee the Town’s Active Living Strategy, making this a vital 12-month contract opportunity. Your focus will be on reducing barriers to recreation access and facilitating engaging programs for all community members. This position provides a platform for building meaningful partnerships and enhancing recreational opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and assess the Active Living Strategy
• Coordinate programs for various community demographics




• Manage and evaluate Multi-Sport programming
• Supervise and train recreation staff
• Serve as a liaison with community organizations

Requirements:
• Degree in Recreation, Education, or similar
• Three years of relevant program experience
• Robust organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously with multiple priorities
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
