The Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is looking for a full time Educational Assistant in High School Specialized Education Programs.

Qualifications

Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma

Able to understand/support Social, LA, Math and Scinces Grades 7-12 including 30-1 levels

Requirements

Able to understand and support students academically in Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts Support students' growth in the areas of cognition, communication, physical and social development

Support students' growth in the areas of cognition, communication,



physical and social development

Support and/or implement teacher directed programming

Work collaborative under guidance of teacher, CST and other member of the multi-disciplinary team

Implement behaviour management and educational strategies that facilitate student learning

Communicate effectively with students using age appropriate positive reinforcements and/or school specific behaviour strategies

Observe student behaviour with focus on achieving positive behavioural/educational outcomes and mitigate/prevent negative ones
