Empower students with vision needs as an Itinerant Teacher at HDSB for the 2026/2027 school year. Support development through tailored programs and specialized instruction in Braille.

This role requires a commitment to work with diverse school teams across the board. As an Itinerant Teacher, you will develop individualized programs, conduct Functional Vision assessments, and collaborate with educators. Your impact will extend to assisting with Individual Education Plans and providing essential in-service training.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized programs for Blind/Low Vision students
• Provide literacy and numeracy instruction in Braille
• Conduct Functional Vision assessments for students
• Support School Teams in creating Individual Education Plans
• Provide training on specialized needs and equipment

Requirements:
• Specialist in Teaching Students Who Are Blind/Low Vision
• Direct experience with Blind or Low Vision students
• Knowledge of Braille and assessment tools
• Strong cooperative planning skills
• Team facilitation experience and staff development
