Shape nutritional care at St. Joseph's Health System as a Surgical Bariatrics Dietitian. This part time, in-person role focuses on evaluating and implementing nutrition strategies for surgical patients.
You will be responsible for assessing nutritional risk, developing comprehensive care plans, and providing education. By collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, your contributions will target decreasing hospital stay-related complications through superior nutrition management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ nutrition
• Create and manage individualized nutrition care plans
• Educate patients and healthcare team members effectively
• Document and maintain accurate nutritional statistics
• Participate in quality projects and research initiatives
Requirements:
• Degree in Dietetics with a completed Dietetic Internship
• 1 to 3 years of related clinical experience
• Mandatory membership in College of Dietitians of Ontario
• Relevant practice group memberships are recommended
• Preferred training in Gentle Persuasive Approach
