Provide compassionate care as a Licensed Practical Nurse on the surgical unit at the University of Alberta Hospital. Your focus will be on patient safety, comfort, and effective nursing practices.

In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team, assessing and addressing the needs of orthopedic and surgical patients in unit 3G3. You’ll leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills while collaborating with healthcare professionals. Patient education and advocacy will also be key aspects of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and implement patient care strategies
• Effectively document patient conditions and updates
• Support patients in daily activities and needs




• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide training and resources for patient education

Requirements:
• Accredited practical nurse education completion
• Active or eligible for LPN registration in Alberta
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical capability for demanding tasks and lifting
