The Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking a Senior Track Inspector to join our Rail & Transit team in Ontario . This is a part-time position offering the opportunity to contribute to a variety of rail infrastructure projects across the province.

The Senior Track Inspector will be responsible for overseeing the inspection and maintenance of railway tracks to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Your Impact

Conduct thorough inspections of railway tracks, switches, and crossings to identify and report defects.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and Metrolinx, Arema, CN Rail and CPKC regulatory requirements.

Oversee maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely resolution of track issues.

Collaborate with maintenance crews to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies

Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, and maintenance activities.

Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and maintenance staff.

Participate in emergency response activities related to track issues.

The skills that set you apart

Minimum of 15 years of experience in railway track inspection.

Extensive knowledge of railway track standards, regulations, and maintenance practices.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.





Relevant certifications or qualifications in track inspection are preferred.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
