Job Requirements

Role: Implementation Specialist

Location: Woodbridge (2-3 days onsite)

Project Context

The department is integrating a recent data tool into its platforms. The Project Manager will coordinate implementation activities, manage stakeholders, and handle technical tasks to ensure seamless adoption. The successful candidate will translate business and technical requirements into executable implementation activities and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with scope, schedule, quality, security, and operational-readiness expectations

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams (IT, cybersecurity, data owners, vendors) to align requirements, priorities, and delivery responsibilities.

Data Integration & Migration: Oversee source-system analysis, data profiling, transformation rules, and validation.

Technical Execution: Develop SQL/Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and testing automation.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Design test plans, manage defects,



and validate data quality through dashboards (PowerBI/Tableau).

Documentation & Training: Create process maps, training materials, and support documentation for end-users.

Candidate Requirements

Must-Haves:

Experience supporting enterprise software implementation or digital transformation projects, preferably involving utility operations, asset information, GIS, or data platforms.

Practical knowledge of the implementation lifecycle, including requirements, configuration, integration, data migration, testing, user acceptance, cutover, deployment, and hypercare.

Strong project coordination, vendor management, risk, issue and dependency tracking, and delivery documentation skills.

Hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, data integration, APIs, ETL, data profiling, data quality, and reconciliation; experience with Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx is an asset.

Experience translating business and technical requirements into data mappings, validation rules, dashboards, and automated quality or test checks is an asset.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.

Effective communication and facilitation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to learn electrical distribution concepts related to asset management, system planning, field operations, and control room processes; experience with IEC CIM, network models, or INM solutions is an asset.

Nice-to-Haves: Power system/utility industry experience

In accordance with our compensation practices, ALTEN is providing the salary range associated with this opportunity. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is $75,000/Annum or we can accommodate $50/HR(Corp to Corp).
