Enhance community wellness as a Restorative Justice Outreach Worker in Port Alberni. This full time role provides outreach and systems navigation for Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ families.
Serving as a Band 5 Analyst, you'll focus on outreach efforts, advocating for members involved in health, social services, and the justice system. Building trust through in-person engagement, this position directly impacts community connectivity and access to culturally informed supports. Your role will encourage healing and stability while helping citizens navigate complex systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outreach support to Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ communities
• Help members access health and social services
• Advocate within the justice system for dignified treatment
• Facilitate and coordinate restorative justice initiatives
• Keep detailed and secure client records
Requirements:
• Education in Social Work or relevant field preferred
• Experience in outreach or health/social services
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
• Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector screening
• Experience with Indigenous families and community challenges
Drive meaningful change within the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ community through effective outreach and advocacy.
