About the Role – Pastry Cook
Probationary Rate: $23.34

Hourly Rate: $29.17

Some of the responsibilities include

Executing pastry orders for catered events and accommodating special requests.

Creating enticing confectionery decorations and delicious pastry fillings, as well as keeping abreast of current pastry baking techniques.





Applying classic pastry baking techniques when preparing traditional pastries.

Adding novel, creative, and delicious pastry items to the existing selection.

Monitoring equipment and ensuring all specialized pastry baking tools are in working order.

Maintaining the good running order of specialized pastry baking equipment.

Qualifications

Refined verbal communication skills

1 year of previous pastry experience preferred

Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred

Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking/baking skills

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, and holidays
