Take the next step in your automotive career as a Body Repairer Apprentice at Winnipeg Transit. Based at 421 Osborne Street, this role is focused on supporting repairs and fabrication of transit equipment and vehicles.

As an apprentice, you will learn directly from Body Shop and Welding Shop Supervisors. Your responsibilities will include assisting in repairs of bus body parts, designing custom components, and carrying out inspections. Candidates should be prepared to enroll in the Body Repairer Apprenticeship Program within the year.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the repair and replacement of vehicle body parts
• Work on automotive glass fixtures such as mirrors and windshields
• Contribute to custom sheet metal component design




• Conduct layout work for manufacturing vehicle parts
• Perform additional duties as required by supervisors

Requirements:
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Experience in vehicle repair and fabrication techniques
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must maintain a Class 5 Driver's License in positive standing
• Ability to handle heavy physical tasks
