Teacher – Primary/Junior/Intermediate Divisions

Mandatory Requirements

Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary, Junior and/or Intermediate Divisions

French as a Second Language Part 1

Preferred Requirements

Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions

Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies

Proficient fluency in French Language

Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy

Knowledge and experience in implementing structured literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction

An understanding of effective strategies for the implementation of the Framework for French-As-A-Second Language in Ontario schools K-12

Understanding and experience implementing an action-oriented approach to FSL instruction

Understanding and experience in implementing the CEFR approach into FSL instruction

Appreciation for the French culture and a willingness to engage students in cultural activities that will enrich their educational experience

Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner





Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY.

Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies

Commitment to being an active participant in the school's qualified learning team to promote student achievement

Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset

Special Education Part 1 would be an asset.
