MUIR Hotel : Loading Bay Attendant Located in the absolute centre of downtown in the vibrant Halifax waterfront, in the heart of the Queen’s Marque district, MUIR offers elevated hospitality inspired by the spirit, culture and natural beauty of Nova Scotia. If you are passionate about a career in hospitality and want to join a team that shares this common goal, the MUIR is presently seeking Loading Bay Attendant to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Property Manager, the role will assist with all deliveries made to the Queen’s Marque district. Flexibility in working a variety of days, evenings, holidays and weekend shifts will be considered an asset.
Shifts: Vary in their start and end time and can change due to the needs of our guests. A mixture of days, evenings, holidays and weekend shifts.
What you will be doing as a Pedicab Driver:
Manage all shipping and receiving activities for the property;
Coordinate and schedule deliveries to the loading dock;
Inspect and verify incoming goods, ensuring items are received in good condition;
Sign for and process deliveries accurately;
Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the warehouse/loading area;
Ensure proper storage and inventory handling of goods;
Provide support to building maintenance and residential concierge teams as needed;




Such other related duties and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.
The person we are looking for has:
Previous experience in a distribution centre, shipping, or receiving environment preferred;
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Physically able to perform repetitive upper-body movements and lift/move materials as required;
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods;
Excellent communication abilities - with English as mandatory and a relevant second language an asset.
