OverviewTransportation Manager: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Transportation Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of our student transportation services. This role oversees bus routes, fleet maintenance, safety compliance, and staff management while maintaining high standards of service and fiscal responsibility.ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, and dispatchManage and supervise a team of drivers, mechanics, and support staffEnsure compliance with provincial transportation regulations and district policiesMonitor and maintain fleet safety, servicing schedules, and preventative maintenanceCoordinate with schools, parents, and administrators regarding transportation needsCollaboratively plan and deliver staff development on non-instructional/professional development daysOrganize, direct and supervise while maintaining effective work relationships with people in a unionized environmentCommunicate and engage in problem-solving with parents, students and school-based administrationExercise considerable independent action and sound judgment in the performance of all dutiesPrepare and manage the department's operational budgetRespond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and weather-related changesQualificationsPost-secondary education in logistics, transportation management, or related field or trade qualification would be an assetMinimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in a leadership role, preferably in school or public transportationSound knowledge of BC Motor Vehicle Act, Commercial Vehicle Safety regulations,
