Join the Alberta's Tomorrow Project as a Laboratory Assistant I, focusing on vital cancer research at Cancer Care Alberta. This role involves specimen collection and basic laboratory procedures in a state-of-the-art facility.

In this casual position, your shifts will typically occur on weekdays at the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Working closely with the ATP team, you will engage in tasks such as sorting samples, cleaning lab instruments, and assisting with basic data entry, contributing significantly to ongoing research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and biobank biosamples for research studies
• Clean and sanitize laboratory equipment regularly
• Handle and sort incoming specimen samples




• Execute essential clerical duties and respond to queries
• Maintain accurate records and assist in data entry

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent credential
• Experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant or equivalent
• Phlebotomy experience and secure handling of dry ice
• TDG certification is a plus
• Criminal record check required prior to employment
