The firm’s Financial Services group is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join its highly regarded Securitization practice and contribute to a sophisticated transactional practice serving major financial institutions, investment funds, lenders, and corporate clients.

Responsibilities

Advise financial institutions, investment funds, lenders, and corporate clients on a broad range of securitization matters

Support sophisticated securitization transactions, including domestic and cross-border matters

Assist with secured lending and capital markets transactions

Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and related financing documentation

Work directly with partners and clients on complex financial services matters

Provide practical, business-focused legal advice

Build client relationships and develop expertise in a specialized practice area

Qualifications

1 to 4 years of post-call experience

Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario





Strong interest in developing a practice focused on securitization

Experience in securitization required; experience in secured lending, banking and finance, capital markets, or derivatives is an asset

Experience handling sophisticated transactional matters in a law firm environment

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to manage files with increasing autonomy

Robust client service orientation and collaborative mindset
