Become a pivotal part of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program at North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Child and Youth Worker. This role emphasizes crisis intervention, assessment, and therapeutic support.
As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, you will address psychiatric, social, and emotional issues facing youth and their families. Responsibilities include creating effective safety plans and participating in both individual and group therapeutic activities tailored to youth and parent needs. Your role is vital in fostering a safe, healing workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis assessment and intervention for youth
• Develop and implement individualized safety plans
• Facilitate therapeutic activities for clients and families
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive care
• Manage withdrawal and mental health strategies effectively
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child and Youth Work from an accredited college
• Registration with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counsellors
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Two years of mental health experience is an asset
• Must be bilingual in English and French
Contribute to vital mental health services and therapeutic outreach for children and youth.
