Job Title: Lead Infrastructure Architect
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Fully onsite, 5 days onsite)

Our public sector client is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Architect to play a critical role in shaping and scaling a modern hybrid cloud environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will influence enterprise architecture, drive infrastructure modernization, and ensure platforms are secure, resilient, and built for long‑term growth.
You will work closely with engineering teams, architects, and senior leadership to define standards and guide technical direction. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact how infrastructure supports regulatory operations, public trust, and digital transformation at scale.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll design and govern Azure and hybrid cloud architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency
You’ll lead infrastructure automation initiatives using IaC tools to drive consistency and eliminate manual processes
You’ll establish governance frameworks including standards, policies, and architecture review processes
You’ll oversee reliability practices including disaster recovery, monitoring, and incident response
You’ll mentor engineers and guide technical decisions across infrastructure and platform teams
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of infrastructure experience, including 5+ years in a senior or lead role
Deep expertise in Azure, hybrid cloud architecture, and enterprise infrastructure design
Robust experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep
Proven experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and observability practices
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders
Nice to have Azure certificates
