Become part of School District 71 as a Temporary Outdoor Learning Teacher for Grades 5-9 in Sooke, BC. This role combines face-to-face instruction with creative blended learning methods.

This 0.40 FTE position at Heartwood Learning Communities focuses on face-to-face instruction and supporting diverse learners in multi-grade classes. You'll engage students with experiential learning both indoors and in outdoor settings. Collaborating with your colleagues, you will develop online resources and contribute to parent workshops and community programs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide face-to-face instruction for students in Sooke
• Support online and blended learning as part of the curriculum
• Plan experiential outdoor learning activities for students




• Develop resources using Desire to Learn and Google Classroom
• Coordinate community-based educational programs

Requirements:
• Certification or experience in online learning in BC
• Wilderness First Aid and Standard First Aid certifications
• Experience with e-portfolios, blogs, and websites
• Commitment to collaboration in education
• Skill in developing parent workshops
