MOUNTAIN SPORTS SCHOOL ASSISTANT MANAGER About Us: Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), and since its inception in 2007, we have gained a reputation for big mountain riding, legendary powder and an authentic Canadian resort town.
Job Description: The Mountain Sports School Assistant Manager is responsible for successful day-to-day operations of the Mountain Sports School and assist the Mountain Sports School Manager in all administrative and leadership aspects of the department.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mountain Sports School department
Manage staff availability, assignment, weekly master schedules
Coordinate lesson bookings and instructor assignments
Coordinate integration with sales, wholesale, and online bookings
Supervise, coach and train supervising staff
Organize daily instructor assignments and meetings
Manage departmental human resources functions, including payroll administration and employee relations
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve guest service issues in a professional and timely manner
Coordinate AST courses and instructor assignments
Assist the Mountain Sports School Manager, other departments, and direct reports as necessary
Other duties as required
Qualifications & Skills Work eligibility in Canada – can provide work permit and SIN documentation
Minimum Level 2 instructor certification




Minimum 2 seasons experience as a ski or snowboard instructor
Minimum 2 seasons supervisory or leadership experience in a Snow School or similar setting preferred
5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office, POS, CRM, and database systems
Office administration experience
Ski industry and particularly instructing or coaching experience is a major plus
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Passion for the mountains, guest service and snow sports
Must be bondable, and able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, issued within the last three months, upon hire
Fluency in English, second languages are an asset.
