Summary: The Family Support Worker provides outreach intervention services to families who are experiencing difficulties with parenting and who are potentially at risk of family breakdown.
Qualifications: Minimal Human Service Worker Diploma with 5 years’ experience or A Bachelor of Social Work and two (2) years related experience.
Knowledge and understanding of St’át’imc culture and ability to work with Aboriginal people.

knowledge of community resources available to clients and their families and how to access them.
The ability to use tact and good judgment in dealing with sensitive and complex issues.
Proven crisis intervention skills.
Work individually and with a team
Responsible for records, file maintenance, and reporting.
Must be willing to submit to and transparent a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
