List of Requirements A degree or diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience relevant to social enterprise, hardware or second-hand retail, operations or community services
Experience in staff and volunteer supervision in social enterprise environments preferred but not a must
Experience developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and supporting business development
Experience overseeing retail transactions, donations, point-of-sale systems and related processes
Experience supporting occupational health and safety, site security and operational equipment
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and organizational information systems
Strong organizational and time management skills, including financial and administrative processes
Experience with cash handling, cashflow review, standard operating procedures and budget proposal development
Experience supporting employees and volunteers
Requirements for Ongoing Employment:
Criminal Record Check (renewable every 5 years)
A valid WorkSafeBC (renewable every 3 years)
Class 5 driver’s licence
Completion of required leadership, occupational health and safety, ethical conduct and other role specific training
Ability to safely support operations involving company vehicles, lifts and other operational equipment

With this role you will have the opportunity to lead a unique community-based social enterprise alongside a dedicated and professional team. You’ll help strengthen inclusive employment, reuse and resource recovery activities while building partnerships and developing new opportunities that advance Kindred ReBuild and inclusion Powell River Society.
As the Kindred ReBuild Manager, you will provide day-to-day operational and people leadership for Kindred ReBuild, including the retail store, qRD Free Store and other novel projects.
Working collaboratively with the Director, employees, volunteers, community partners, contractors and local government, you’ll ensure operations are safe, inclusive, well-organized and responsive while supporting the continued development of Kindred ReBuild’s social enterprise activities.
You’ll lead staff and volunteer supervision, donation pickup and delivery operations, retail systems, equipment and site safety, financial and administrative processes, strategic partnerships, business development, outreach, marketing and continuous quality improvement.
