Join School District 72 as an Education Assistant (Intensive Behaviour) and make a meaningful impact at Penfield Elementary. Support students facing behavioural challenges to create safe and inclusive classrooms.

This position requires an individual experienced in working with students with complex behavioural needs. You will actively engage in implementing individualized behaviour management plans while promoting positive interactions among students. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and specialists to enhance student learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate integration of students with severe behaviours
• Support and encourage pro-social behaviours
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team for learning strategies




• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom setting
• Provide one-on-one and group academic aid as needed

Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in Educational Assistant training or equivalent
• Two years of experience with special needs children
• CPI or low arousal certification required
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to observe and adapt to students’ needs
