The Leasing Associate is instrumental in creating an outstanding resident experience while driving leasing success and occupancy goals. This role blends sales expertise, customer service, and operational coordination to guide prospective residents seamlessly from initial inquiry through to move-in. Please note that this is a contract role with the prospect to extend.
Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and informative property tours, highlighting suite features, amenities, and neighbourhood advantages
Support prospects throughout the full leasing lifecycle—from first contact and tour to application, approval, and move-in
Prepare and administer leases, addenda, and related documentation in alignment with company standards
Conduct applicant screening, including credit and reference checks
Manage and respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and digital platforms
Monitor leasing performance by tracking traffic, lead sources, and conversion metrics; assist in preparing regular reports
Contribute to marketing efforts such as social media activity, monitoring listings, open houses, and community events
Partner with property management and marketing teams to sustain leasing momentum and achieve occupancy targets




Coordinate suite readiness to ensure homes are presented at the highest standard for tours and move-ins
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and prospective applicants, fostering a welcoming community environment
Ensure compliance with applicable tenancy legislation and internal policies
Provide insights into market trends, competitor offerings, and renter preferences to inform leasing strategies
Qualifications 2+ years of experience in residential leasing, property management, sales, or a customer service–focused role
Diploma or degree in business, commerce, marketing, real estate, or a related field is considered an asset
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple inquiries and tasks simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi and RentCafe is considered an asset
Ability to travel to site(s) as required
